ACRAZE's Unreleased Tracks and House Remixes by Him and His Talented Friends
While today is November 5, 2023, the story I'm about to share has been in the forefront of my mind for quite some time, yearning for the attention it truly deserves. Back on March 3, 2023, I was fortunate enough to attend an ACRAZE meet and greet event at the Academy LA nightclub, nestled in the heart of Hollywood, a hub for all things EDM. ACRAZE, widely recognized for his smash hit "Do It To It" released on August 21, 2021, catapulted to global stardom in no time, establishing himself as one of the rising stars in the electronic dance music scene. This track was ubiquitous on TikTok, and I distinctly remember hearing it for the first time during Zedd's Squid Game Remix performance at the Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas on New Year's Eve 2021.
Apart from this chart-topping hit, many might not be familiar with his other creations, nor has he managed to replicate a mainstream success on the same scale since. However, that doesn't diminish his prowess as a producer and DJ.
My good friend, Roy Ng, whom I interviewed in Episode #004 of my Podcast earlier this year, extended an invitation for this event. I was relatively new to the EDM scene at the time, only recognizing the more prominent artists like Calvin Harris, Tiesto, The Chainsmokers, and Louis The Child, among others. ACRAZE had entered my radar solely through his breakout hit 'Do It To It.'
Roy, always one to arrive early and secure a prime spot in the line, ensured that we were the first to enter the venue. We had the unique opportunity to meet ACRAZE face-to-face. He appeared to be a down-to-earth individual, humble about his craft and status in the industry. He shook our hands and introduced himself by his first name, Charlie. Dripped head to toe in the epitome of LA fashion, complete with a stylish patched bucket hat, he was distributing signed posters and USB drives filled with unreleased singles and mixes.
While I did some preliminary research, I didn't delve too deeply into the contents of the USB. However, I noticed that some of the tracks were not available anywhere else. It's important to note that I am not profiting from these songs, and I wholeheartedly attribute all copyrights and ownership to ACRAZE and his team. My sole intention is to share this treasure with the public because this "ACRAZE Heat" USB, containing six tracks, is pure gas.
Among the six tracks, you'll find two remixes of his single "Believe" (released on October 7, 2022) by Volaris and Kill Script, a Cheyenne Giles Remix of "Miracle," and ACRAZE's remix of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance."
