Ep. #005 - Cody Anderson
Ever wondered what a run-on sentence would sound like if it were manifested into a 2-hour podcast? Look no further as two 24-year-olds tackle various questions and challenges that life has to offer. From books to anxiety, life's purpose, clout chasers, self-confidence, true love, and therapy, we delve into it all. You might find something relatable or something cringe-worthy, but whichever end of the spectrum you land on, you're investing your time and energy in listening to us navigate the game of life. For that, we're incredibly grateful.
Cody Anderson is, without a doubt, one of the most intriguing and charismatic souls to ever grace this planet. He's a man who seems to be immune to anxiety and possesses a fervent passion for Greek mythology and sustainable urban planning.
My first encounter with Cody was during my junior year of college, thanks to our mutual friend, Coleman Doyle, while we were flying with puff the magic dragon and eating jars of almond butter. Little did I realize back then that he would become one of my three roommates and best friends during our senior year at Pepperdine. We embarked on this adventure right in the midst of serving our final two-semester sentence at COVID Zoom University.
Describing the energy Cody brought to our room is a bit like trying to capture lightning in a bottle - it's one of those 'you had to be there' moments, actually, it's every moment. Sitting still isn't in Cody's vocabulary, maintaining silence is practically forbidden, and spontaneous dance breaks prescribed by his imaginary doctor happen at least eight times a day.
Cody is a man who seems to lack an internal anxiety switch and lives life to its absolute fullest. Is he overly optimistic? Perhaps. A realist? Only in theory. We bonded over our shared fascination with what makes people tick, what truly ignites the flames of passion in their hearts, and we even questioned the very concept of purpose itself and why it's necessary in the first place.
At this very moment, Cody has taken up residence in sunny San Diego, California, where he manages to turn the heads of women aged 22 to 47, and yes, that includes single mothers. The Cody effect knows no bounds!
