This genre leans more towards the groovy and heart warming side. A consistent beat that leaves you moving and grooving, a steady beat that leaves you either swaying (left to right), bopping, or shuffling. If EDM is new territory for you, I highly recommend kicking off with House Music—it's a fantastic entry point into the captivating world of EDM's more specialized genres.

You're either in the camp of hating or loving DnB—there's no middle ground. In the beginning, I wasn't exactly a fan, as everything seemed to blend together. However, it was witnessing Netsky's performance at HARD Summer (2023) that completely shifted my perspective on the genre. Its high-tempo rhythm takes on a life of its own, gradually drawing you in until you're completely lost in the sauce. Anyone who's experienced a DnB performance can vouch for its high-energy, infectious groove. Whether you're on the dance floor or tuning in through your headphones, the relentless pace is sure to make your heart race like you're in a marathon—though not so intense that you'll feel like punching a hole in the wall.

Trap God Fiends (Trap Playlist)
A different kind of "trap," my friends. For those of us who hail from the South/Midwest, like myself, the term is usually linked with Hip-Hop. Yet, within the EDM realm, it holds an entirely distinct meaning. If I were to paint a sonic picture, it would fit into the category of a "2000s Fast and Furious 150mph chase and/or race" vibe. It's almost like the soundtrack to a video game, but paradoxically, it stirs up this urge to punch a hole in the wall (weird, I know, considering I'm sober right now). Now, not all Trap tracks exude this energy (think Skrillex and TroyBoi), but when you delve into the catalog of recent top Trap artists like nitepunk, ISOxo, and Knock2, you can practically feel your blood pumping and your body electrified. If ever I find myself needing to outpace a pursuing cop or get hyped for a pregame, this is the soundtrack that gets some pep to my step.
